Stewardship of Resources:
-
It is the district’s responsibility to wisely use entrusted resources to effectively meet the needs of students.
When we are being successful…
The students, staff, administration, and school board will strategically utilize time, money, facilities, and human resources to support the district mission, vision, and strategic directions. We will be transparent in sharing information regarding district finances with internal and external stakeholders and take the steps necessary to be financially strong.

Evidence of Progress
-
- A balanced budget was accomplished in FY23 and FY24, and a balanced budget was approved for FY25 through budget reductions and judicious use of COVID funding.
- The general operating fund balance increased in FY23 and FY24.
- A referendum was held in fall 2024, and despite losing, presented an opportunity for the school district to raise awareness about the financial challenges of the school district.
- Consistent school district threat assessment and parent-student reunification processes were identified, trained, and implemented.
- Five excess district properties with no value to the school district were sold in the past 2.5 years, decreasing district costs and improving the area tax base.
