Equitable Education

Equitable Access, Representation and Outcomes:

  • Ensuring all students can succeed is our moral and ethical responsibility as a district and community.

    When we are being successful…
The district will provide a range of high quality programs, services and experiences that are available and accessible to all, ensuring that access and success are not predictable by demographic measures. Barriers will be identified and eliminated so systems, processes, and opportunities for engagement are designed and made available in ways that ensure equitable access, representation, and outcomes for all.

Operational Plan Objectives tied to this Strategic Direction:

  • Objective 1.1

  • Objective 1.2

  • Objective 1.3

  • Objective 1.4

Evidence of Progress

    • Consistent practices for behavior reporting have been developed and implemented fall 2024 so district data can be more accurately used for decision making.
    • Teachers and Administrators in each building have been trained in Conscious Discipline, a trauma-informed approach to integrate social-emotional learning, discipline and self-regulation into classrooms.
    • Benchmark data shows student growth in elementary math and reading.
