A Culture of Trust, Engagement, and Belonging:
-
A strong culture founded on trusting relationships will increase student success, create a positive working environment, and build community confidence and pride in our school district.
When we are being successful…
Students, families, and staff will feel safe, known, connected to others, and feel like they have a place here. Our culture will be one that accepts, respects, and seeks to understand others and our differences. We will build strong relationships within our schools and with our families by listening, intentional outreach, and an attitude of selflessness.
Operational Plan Objectives tied to this Strategic Direction:
-
Objective 2.1
Develop, implement, and maintain a data system that informs our understanding of our students' social-emotional health, engagement, and sense of belonging.
-
Objective 2.2
Develop, implement, and maintain a system for identifying and addressing current levels of staff trust, engagement, and well-being.
-
Objective 2.3
Increase staff capacity to meet the needs of students and improve their own resilience.
-
Objective 2.4
Intentional Family Engagement efforts align with MDE's model (included in Partnerships and Collaboration as well).
Evidence of Progress
-
- K-12 implementation of SAEBRS - (Social, Academic, and Emotional Behavior Risk Screener), a brief, norm-referenced tool for screening students to identify those who are at risk for social-emotional challenges. Students with identified challenges or risks are provided support in a variety of ways.
- District Wellness Committee provided opportunities for staff wellness activities based on a staff survey administered in 2022.
