• The Thunderhawk Scholarship Application is the common application for GRHS managed local scholarships. Email scholarships@isd318.org with any questions or issues. 


    Eligibility: All graduating Seniors of Grand Rapids High School or Area Learning Center who are continuing their education after high school are eligible to apply. This can be a public or private technical college, community college, or four-year college or university, both in person and virtually. 


    The deadline to apply is Thursday February 20th.


    SENIORS MUST FILL OUT THEIR OWN APPLICATION. PARENTS ARE ENCOURAGED TO HELP STUDENTS, BUT SHOULD NOT FILL OUT STUDENT APPLICATIONS FOR THEM

    Step 2) Review Scholarship Directions and/or Watch the video directions

    You can make changes throughout the application period, so start early and do a little at a time!


    Step 4) Request Letters of Recommendation ASAP! Some scholarships require one that talks about your character traits. YOU ARE responsible for obtaining one from a teacher, school counselor, employer or other non-related adult who knows you personally, academically or professionally and can speak to your positive character traits.

    Step 5) Make Changes & Proofread
    Make changes to your application using the link sent to you after saving the form. Have your parent/guardian or other adult look through it and PROOFREAD, PROOFREAD, PROOFREAD!! You can also request a proofread from Mrs Clairmont by emailing a request to hclairmont@isd318.org 

    **Scholarship recipients are announced at the Academic Excellence Awards night, which will be on May 7.
