Group Counseling
Group counseling sessions allow students to gain support and motivation from peers and counselors that they might not be able to experience in the individual setting. Various groups are offered depending on need, such as social skills group, new students group, family change group, and grief and loss group to help the students reach their full potential. Middle school can be an extremely difficult time for any student. For students with anxiety, even the most simple tasks can be challenging and painful. In our anxiety groups, students learn, discuss and practice skills and techniques to help them cope with anxiety and the middle school world. Students are able to work with others to find helpful solutions to many issues facing middle school students today. Typically groups meet once a week over a eight week period. Groups usually consist of four to six students. If you would like more information, do not hesitate to contact your Counselor.
