• ISD 318 is partnering with Itasca County Public Health, Bigfork Valley, Essentia Health, and Grand Itasca to offer COVID-19 vaccine clinics for our community.

Grand Itasca will be hosting another round of Pfizer vaccines clinics with the first dose being offered on June 23rd from 8 AM – 10 AM at the Grand Rapids High School gymnasium. For those who still have not been vaccinated and wish to avoid missing sports, activities and school because of COVID exposures, please consider attending the next Pfizer vaccine clinic. Second dose appointments will be scheduled at the first dose clinic but are set to take place on July 14th. Students and/or parents are encouraged to sign up for an appointment for this clinic. Parents will need to complete the consent and registration form in advance of this clinic as well.

The second dose of this vaccine will be administered on July 14.

    SECOND DOSES

Students who participated in the vaccine clinic on Tuesday, May 25 will receive their second dose on Tuesday, June 15. Please complete the forms below before attending the clinic if you will not accompany your child:

The decision to obtain a COVID-19 vaccination is a personal one and we respect each family's right to choose for their child. There is no requirement to obtain a vaccine and there are no penalties if you choose not to vaccinate your child.

Students who complete the vaccination series will still have to wear a mask in schools and at school events. However, students who are fully vaccinated will no longer need to complete quarantines if they are a close contact. Fully vaccinated is defined as 14 days past dose number two.

The vaccine provided to students is the Pfizer vaccine and will be administered in two doses, 21 days apart. If you have questions about the vaccine, please plan to have a conversation with your healthcare provider. Bigfork Valley, Grand Itasca, and Essentia all have excellent FAQ pages on their websites. You can find links to those sites when you visit the Itasca County Public Health website and click on the vaccinations link.

If you choose to have your child vaccinated, consent forms are required.
