Asbestos Notification: All buildings (including portables and support buildings) owned or leased by the district have been inspected for asbestos. This notice provides information on how to find more information on the districts asbestos plan.
Bloodborne Pathogens Training and Quiz: Bloodborne pathogens (BBP) are germs which are found in the bloodstream and can cause disease in humans. The training provides education regarding proper handling of all bodily fluids. The quiz is designed to make sure the training is understood.
Bullying Policy: The policy is designed to assist the school district in its goal of preventing and responding to acts of bullying, intimidation, violence reprisal, retaliation, and other similar disruptive and detrimental behavior. The school district intends to prevent bullying and take action to investigate, respond to, and to remediate and discipline for those acts of bullying which have not been successfully prevented.
Chemical Use and Abuse: The purpose of this policy is to assist the school district in its goal to prevent chemical use and abuse by providing procedures for education and intervention.
Data Privacy and Confidentiality (Staff): The purpose of this policy is to provide guidance to school district employees as to the data the school district collects and maintains regarding its personnel.
Data Privacy and Confidentiality (Student): As an employee you are required to keep all student data and information confidential. You are allowed to share information pertinent to “educational issues” with only those employees working directly with that student who have a need to know.

Drug-Free Workplace/Drug-Free School: The purpose of this policy is to maintain a safe and healthful environment for employees and students by prohibiting the use of alcohol, toxic substances, medical cannabis, and controlled substances without a physician's prescription.

Pesticide Notification: Independent School District #318 contracts with a pest control firm that implements a method referred to as an "Integrated Pest Management." This method attempts to minimize the use of pesticides by using traps and baits and applying pesticides only as a last resort.
