Please scroll down to the bottom of this page for questions and answers about the 5-11 year old clinics.

Walk-in vaccinations are available for 12+ at local clinics and pharmacies.

Walk-in appointments for the vaccine are also available at Grand Itasca from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday, for anyone 12 years and older. Children 12+ and adults may also receive a vaccine directly from their primary health clinic or pharmacy.

The decision to obtain a COVID-19 vaccination is a personal one and we respect each family's right to choose for their child. There is no requirement to obtain a vaccine and there are no penalties if you choose not to vaccinate your child.

Students who are fully vaccinated will no longer need to complete quarantines if they are a close contact. Fully vaccinated is defined as 14 days past dose number two.

The vaccine provided to students is the Pfizer vaccine and will be administered in two doses, 21 days apart. If you have questions about the vaccine, please plan to have a conversation with your healthcare provider. Bigfork Valley, Grand Itasca, and Essentia all have excellent FAQ pages on their websites. You can find links to those sites when you visit the Itasca County Public Health website and click on the vaccinations link.
