Drivers work morning and afternoon routes (approximately 6am- 8:30am & 2:30pm- 5:00pm), which leaves the middle of the day open and keeps nights and weekends free.

Strong Hourly Pay
ISD 318 school bus drivers earn $26/hour.
Drivers are also eligible for annual longevity pay after 2 years, ranging from $650-$1,650.
That means the longer you stay, the more your commitment is recognized.
Paid Time Off
Even though this is a part-time position, drivers receive paid time off.
Eligible drivers receive:
● Paid sick leave - 1 day per month
● Paid personal days - 5 per year
Time Off
School bus driving follows the school calendar, which means drivers have summers, holidays and breaks off.
Training Provided
Grand Rapids Area Schools provides training to help qualified candidates obtain the required license and endorsements to drive a school bus.

Requirements
● CDL Class B with P2S endorsement, or willingness to train
● Genuinely enjoy working with kids
● Valid Minnesota driver's license
● Ability to pass a criminal background check
● Ability to pass a DOT drug test
● A clean, safe driving record
