Social Skills Program

Here are some Murphy students who won

Social Skills Honor Awards

for

"Listening and Following Instructions"

Congratulations!

Murphy School is taking a positive approach towards helping students become respectful and responsible citizens.

Along with our Discipline Policy, a new Social Skills Program is being implemented this year.

Each month, students will be taught a specific social skill.  The teachers and staff will reinforce these positive behaviors throughout that month and the rest of the year.

Each week over the P.A. system, students will be sharing ways to practice our social skills!

We will also recognize students who are demonstrating these social skills at a monthly assembly.

This year's SOCIAL SKILLS are:

October:  Listening & Following Directions

November:  Being Respectful & Using Good Manners

January:  Respecting Differences

February:  Random Acts of Kindness

March:  Using Self-Control

April:  Having a Positive Attitude

At Murphy School, we hope working on the positive will bring positive results.  Students will be taking responsibility for their actions which will continue to reinforce one of our school's goals which is to have Murphy School a FUN and SAFE place to be!
