Principal’s Corner

Dear Parents,

It was wonderful to see so many of you at conferences!

There are many more opportunities throughout the year

for you to participate in your child’s education.

In the upcoming weeks, classroom teachers will be

participating in district grade level meetings and

will be reviewing state graduation standards in

reading, math, science and health.

Each year, our site team sets goals for the school.

As mentioned last year, we consider these “challenge goals”

new directions for us to stretch and grow or to fulfill

perceived needs.   In a sense, it’s our way to make an already

very good school even better!

Three major goals for the current school year are:

1.  To continue to increase student achievement in reading

2.  To continue to increase student achievement in math.

3.  To attain highest student achievement, we will continue to

work on providing a safe environment for all to learn, work,

     and interact by:

        A. Meeting required fire drills, lock down and tornado

drills and to promote Bus Safety.

        B. Promoting a friendly environment for all to work,

learn and interact by participating in a monthly

            Social Skills Program.

We would also like to WELCOME Jaci David to our

Murphy Site Team!

Should you have any questions or suggestions regarding

our implementation of these school goals, please do not

hesitate to call me.

With kids in mind,

Mrs. Anderson, Principal
