School meals are tabulated by computer.
The system simplifies access to school meals. It's easy and
convenient. It is especially easy when you view your account online.
To view your account on line: Log onto the District's Web Page at
www.isd318.org/ .
Click on Useful Links on the Navigation Bar. Select the
Family Lunch Balance icon located at the bottom left-hand of the
screen. Follow prompts to select state of MN and Grand Rapids Public
Schools. You will need to know your Family ID number and PIN number.
To receive your statements via email and review your families lunch account
activity, please call 218/327-5771 and give the Food & Nutrition Department your
email address.
This is how it works...
- Each family in the district has a school
meals account. Account numbers are assigned to
families in the beginning of the year.
- It is a prepayment system.
- Students may make deposits into their
account by bringing their money to their school
cafeteria. Parents may send deposits to: Food
& Nutrition Department, 800 Conifer Drive, Grand Rapids MN 55744.
- Every deposit must have the students name
and account number on it.
- Include the family account number on the
check memo to ensure proper deposits.
- Families with more than one student only
need to send one check per family not one check per
student. This holds true even if they are in
different buildings.
- Students are encouraged to bring enough
money for a weeks worth of meals but may choose to bring
enough for a month or entire month.
- Each time a student eats a school
breakfast or lunch, the program will record a deduction
for the purchase.
- Students enter their Lunch ID # on a key
pad and give their name to the cashier as a double
checking system.
- All existing balances will automatically
be carried over to the next school year.
- A monthly record of your students account
is sent home so you may review the school meals activity. Most
statements are sent via email.
- Ala Carte items will be available on a
cash only basis.
- Please ask your children to keep their
account number confidential and in a safe location.
- If a student loses their account number
they can contact the Food & Nutrition Department.
- We welcome your input and know you will
enjoy the new system for accessing school meals.
