Thank you for your interest in
learning more about becoming ‘highly qualified’ under the federal ‘No Child
Left Behind Act”.
We continue to work towards the goal of having the substitute staff at
this level. The highly qualified level
needs to be met in order to be considered for any permanent positions that may
open up in the future.
Information is available
that will assist you in obtaining the Para Pro assessment. The Para Pro
assessment is a basic skills test. There
are tutorials and practice tests available by going to the website address
listed here: http://www.nesc.k12.mn.us/special_ed/parapro/index.htm
You may also contact the
Northeast Service Cooperative for testing dates and further information.
The cost for the test is
currently $45.00. It is a one-time test
and does not need to be completed annually.
Please submit your test
results to our office upon completion so we can identify your highly qualified
status on our reports.
