ISD 318 Superintendent Search
Spring 2017

On Tuesday, May 16, three finalists were chosen for the second round of interviews on May 17 through May 19.

The finalists participated in a full day of interviews, meeting in focus groups with principals, district administration, high school students, support staff, teachers, and community members, before a final interview each evening with the School Board. Participants in the focus groups spent an hour with each candidate asking questions about their background, experience, and philosophy. Feedback forms from each focus group were provided to Board members and helped the School Board make a final decision on Friday evening.

On Friday, May 19, the ISD 318 School Board made a resolution to enter into negotiations with Mrs. Joni Olson.

On Thursday, May 11, the School Board met to approve the semi-finalists in the Superintendent Search. Six candidates were chosen as semi-finalists.

Central Public Schools, Norwood-Young America

Dr. Jon Ellerbusch, Superintendent

The semi-finalists in the Superintendent Search were chosen from a candidate pool of 22 applicants. Of the six, two to three finalists will be chosen for the second round of interviews on May 17 through May 19. If you would like to meet the candidates, you can view complete information on our event post.

This is your chance to meet the finalists, ask questions of the candidate, and share your feedback with the School Board. Your input will help us make the best choice!
